And the thought of tackling EU 🇪🇺 legislation makes you want to stick your head in the sand. I remember when I was Data Protection Officer in the UK- managing a business whose clients had reduce capacity following brain injuries and couldn't give consent to process their data- when the GDPR came into force. The authorities were very understanding until they suddenly weren't anymore and starting issuing fines: 😭LinkedIn €310 million 😭British Airways €22 million 😭Amazon €746 million Are you likely to be funded multi millions? Probs not. But currently regulators of the GDPR can fine uo to €20 million or 4% of annual turnover whichever is HIGHER so either way it would be financially devastating for you to think this doesn't need your attention.
